I am a full service real estate broker specializing in serving buyers,
sellers & real estate investors. For an honest straight forward Western Colorado approach, call "Blackdog The Broker!"

It has been a wild and fun ride and I am happy to be to be living in
Garfield County. I am a Colorado native who grew up in Golden
and traveled to the area to vacation every summer. I loved to
vacation in the area and knew I would eventually live here. Well it
happened right out of college. I graduated from Adams State
College with degrees in Business Management and Education, and
landed a teaching job at Rifle High School as a business teacher. To
go with it I was the Head Wrestling Coach and the Defensive
Coordinator for the Rifle Bears Football Team. I taught school for a
total of 5 years then realized I needed to see more of the world and
get more adventure in my life.

I spent most of the next decade working as a guide/manager in the
travel industry. Along the way I traveled and worked in Alaska, New
Zealand, Central America and all over Colorado. My job was to help
people enjoy their dream vacation, hunt, or adventure.

Well I have settled down a little, though I will always have adventure
in my life. Along with it all I have a wonderful wife, 2 Labradors, and
live in the place I love the most in the world.

I LOVE BEING A REAL ESTATE AGENT! If your agent is happy in life, likes where he lives, and loves his work, the result is satisfied customers. You can expect to be well taken care of and satisfied when working with "Blackdog The Broker!"

I understand how important it is to work with a Realtor you know and
trust, and I'd like you to know a little more about me, my family and
why we choose to make Garfield County, Colorado, our home.

My husband, Alvin, and I are both natives of the Western Slope. With
roots deep in agriculture and rural living, we have continued
off-the-ranch employment in order to realize our dreams of raising
cattle and horses near Rifle. The parents of two grown sons, we have four great grandchildren to boot! Son, Mike, is in employed as a
safety supervisor with Halliburton in the gas industry in the Grand
Junction area and has three daughters and a son. Son, Craig, is a
graduate of Colorado State University with a double Masters Degree
in Agriculture Education and Integrated Resources Management.
He is currently employed by John Deere and Company as a Project
Manager for Curriculum Development at their North American
Training Headquarters in Lenexa, KS.

Following Craig's graduation from Rifle High School, I retired after
more than 25 years as a leader of one of the largest 4-H Clubs in
Garfield County. Many hours, however, are still spent assisting local
young people with their 4-H projects, as well as the annual County
Fair.

As a Realtor, I'm committed to providing the best service possible for
my clients, keeping them informed along every step of the process
and assisting them to make sound choices that will get the results
they want. Through hard work, continuing education and a thorough
knowledge of our local market, I'm here to provide you the best
possible service.

As a Native of Colorado, I can’t begin to describe to you how
beautiful this place is we call home. I believe in the dream of home
ownership for everyone. When I began my real estate career, my
dream was to help as many people as I could have the opportunity
to own their own home. I pride myself on Honesty and Integrity and
live by the REALTORS code of Ethics. My beliefs are so strong, that I have served on the Glenwood Springs Board of REALTORS for six
years.

I began as a Director, than as the Vice-President for two years,
and I am currently serving as the 2008 Board President. Serving on
Committees is also something I strongly believe in. I currently serve
on the Colorado Association of REALTORS Affordable Housing
Opportunity Fund also known as Carhoff. The Political Survival Fund
Committee, The Affiliate Council Committee, and our Golf
Tournament Committee which raises Scholarship money for 7
local High Schools.

My Husband Jeff and I moved to Rifle in 1993, and feel this was the
best decision we have ever made. Jeff and I have been fortunate
to raise our kids in an area where people enjoy and respect other
people. The outdoors has given us many adventures and memories
of camping, 4-wheeling, boating and experiencing clean Colorado
living.

In the spring of 2008, my new adventure was starting up a company
with five other Brokers that I respect and call my friends. We started
Real Estate Out West, Inc., bought a building, and with a lot of help
from husbands, wives and friends, remodeled and created our new
office in the heart of Rifle, Colorado where our slogan is “Where
Buyers and Sellers Meet”.

If you are thinking of moving to our beautiful State of Colorado, or
already live here and need assistance in purchasing or selling real
estate please give me a call. I look forward to assisting you.

I feel truly blessed to be living the Western Colorado lifestyle. I am an outdoor person and my interests are my horses, golf, camping, and hiking. Living in the country for the past fifteen years, I know inside and out about acreage and rural properties, including irrigating and raising hay!!

Prior to then, I have lived in New Castle and Glenwood Springs and,
therefore, know the in-town residential aspect of real estate. Being
part owner in a real estate business in Rifle truly gives me the
knowledge from Glenwood Springs to Rifle and beyond.

Before becoming a real estate broker, I worked as a legal assistant for fourteen years in Glenwood Springs and it seemed to be a natural
step to becoming a real estate broker with my legal background
and understanding the sensitive and complex nature of buying and
selling real estate.

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES….

Imagine a Realtor who…

Truly listens.
Returns phone calls.
Finds solutions.
Works full time.
Knows the details.
Knows horse properties and acreage.
Knows how to find in-town residential.
Belongs to the Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and Mesa County MLS.
Earned the GRI designation for higher education and advanced marketing.
Knows Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, and Rifle.
Has lived in the area for 33 years.
Absolutely loves the Western Colorado lifestyle.

THE SOLUTION ….LET ME WORK FOR YOU!!

I have been an active Realtor in our area since June of 1996. Early
on I discovered that my customer's happiness was my highest priority. Seeing your smiling face after the purchase of your very 1st home or a successful investment venture is what keeps me motivated!

Being a Broker/Owner of Real Estate Out West gives me the
opportunity and flexibility to help you as an individual rather than
sticking to a "one size fits all" Real Estate company.

In our spare time my husband and I enjoy boating and fishing at
nearby Rifle Gap Reservoir, hiking, and walking our two dogs on
Colorado's beautiful trails.

I look forward to helping you achieve your dreams and goals!

A native of North Carolina with deep southern roots, I bring a touch
of southern hospitality to business. My life's philosophy is simply,
"just treat people the way you like to be treated". This philosophy is
applied to my business experiences everyday.

I found my way to Colorado in 1997, relocating to Steamboat
Springs to experience the ranching lifestyle and be around my
passion for horses. While working in the Resort Development / Real
Estate industry I met my husband, Cole Moulton. He is a native of
Colorado who was born and raised in the New Castle / Rifle area.
His family's history in Garfield County started 4 generations ago
with his mother's family homesteading in Carbondale and his
grandfather Moulton relocating to Rifle from Oklahoma as a young man in the 1930's.

Experiencing the Moulton's heritage has brought me a sense of
appreciation to what this area offers, and the welcoming aspect of
"community" I've found in each township is an endearing quality that
makes this such a special place. Recently moving to Silt Mesa, my
knowledge and sensitivity to the relocation process will help with
your move, or if you've been here for awhile and are just looking for
a change, I'd like the opportunity to find that unique property.
