My husband, Alvin, and I are both natives of the Western Slope. With
roots deep in agriculture and rural living, we have continued
off-the-ranch employment in order to realize our dreams of raising
cattle and horses near Rifle. The parents of two grown sons, we have four great grandchildren to boot! Son, Mike, is in employed as a
safety supervisor with Halliburton in the gas industry in the Grand
Junction area and has three daughters and a son. Son, Craig, is a
graduate of Colorado State University with a double Masters Degree
in Agriculture Education and Integrated Resources Management.
He is currently employed by John Deere and Company as a Project
Manager for Curriculum Development at their North American
Training Headquarters in Lenexa, KS.

Following Craig's graduation from Rifle High School, I retired after
more than 25 years as a leader of one of the largest 4-H Clubs in
Garfield County. Many hours, however, are still spent assisting local
young people with their 4-H projects, as well as the annual County
Fair.

As a Native of Colorado, I can’t begin to describe to you how

A native of North Carolina with deep southern roots, I bring a touch
of southern hospitality to business. My life's philosophy is simply,

I found my way to Colorado in 1997, relocating to Steamboat
Springs to experience the ranching lifestyle and be around my
passion for horses. While working in the Resort Development / Real
Estate industry I met my husband, Cole Moulton. He is a native of
Colorado who was born and raised in the New Castle / Rifle area.
His family's history in Garfield County started 4 generations ago
with his mother's family homesteading in Carbondale and his
grandfather Moulton relocating to Rifle from Oklahoma as a young man in the 1930's.

Experiencing the Moulton's heritage has brought me a sense of
appreciation to what this area offers, and the welcoming aspect of
"community" I've found in each township is an endearing quality that
makes this such a special place. Recently moving to Silt Mesa, my
knowledge and sensitivity to the relocation process will help with

I have been a Real Estate Broker for 10 years now. I have been involved in selling homes, ranches and commercial Real Estate. I love working with both Buyers and Sellers. I still believe that property is the best investment one can make. The process of pairing the right property with the right Buyer never gets old for me. I know this area well. I have lived up and down the 'Valley'( Aspen to Rifle) since I was 16...Mostly in Aspen for 20 years and then a year in Old Snowmass, a year in Basalt, five years in Carbondale and now two and half years in Rifle.

Every town is unique with it's own character, and each town has a lot to offer.

For several years I divided my time between Aspen and New York where I modeled and attended Performing Arts and Business school.

Along the way I spent a year on the International Backgammon circuit, apprenticed with Angello deBinedetto, a world renowned artist, had my songs published and recorded, received my B.F.A. and Psychology degrees and was blessed to be able to travel and sail to some of the most incredible places in the world.

Through all of this I have always returned to and called the Rocky Mountains my home. My daughter was born and mostly raised in Aspen where she graduated from in 2002 with a scholarship to C.U. She is back living in Aspen where she has her own business.

There is a plethora of activities I love that are readily available in the area: hiking, horse back riding, camping, boating, fly fishing, skiing, and watching amazing meteor showers.

Mary Huffine is a native of the Colorado Western Slope and a licensed REALTOR for 34 years. Mary was born in Aspen, before it was a resort community. She began her career in the Carbondale CO area with a farm and ranch broker and moved to Rifle CO in 1998. Selling property from Reudi to Grand Junction, she has experienced the reoccurring cycles of real estate values in both the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys. In Dec 2006 Mary received her CRS Certified Residential Specialist designation. Only 4% of all Realtors ever achieve this designation as it represents many years of high volume real estate sales plus multiple years of advanced real estate education. Residential real estate is her specialty now.
